Attention all Gen X'ers !!!!

Okay, if you are a Gen X'er and you are into shitty Tshirts and fashionable tennis shoes you have to read this article. It's long, but it will captivate you. It's almost scary how I felt that article was about me.

Once you read this article from New York Magazine you'll understand this statement.

Sofiedove, my 18 month old, LOVES Depeche Mode and Moby with all her inner core. If she could talk, she'd request it more.

My favorite bands are Blink-182, DM, Moby, Sum 41, Green Day and probably some vintage Nirvana and The Cure. There are others, but those are the ones worth noting.

Oh, and I love LOVE LOVE Urban Outfitters.
Um, did I mention I'm going on 36? Yeah. Really.

Me comprenez-vous ?

C'est Printemps! Vous savez je sais ?

Les bourgeons d'arbre ont gonflé et les feuilles sont presque ici. La glace fond au loin du lac. Tout devient nouveau encore.
Ayez un jour merveilleux!

Au revoir!

Here a comment there a comment everywhere a comment comment...

Here's an interesting topic about childrearing that I wanted to comment on, but by the time I logged in and clicked PUBLISH, he closed the comments. Check out his post (blurb-o-mat is the blog) on the subject of getting his daughter into a sleeping pattern.

Child rearing is such a touchy topic, everyone has an opinion and everyone has read a book or two that they found 'profoundly awesome' and must have been written by GOD himself therefore all other people that don't follow it are horrible parents and it's a wonder how those little people are ever going to survive their parent wasteland.

Here's the comment I was GOING to leave on his post but alas, I was too s-l-o-w, slow like a cute little gymboree turtle:

"This Mommy here that feels crying won't 'traumatize' the child (unless of course is coupled with beatings, which is bad, really bad). Pick your battleground and fight it the way you want to. Not everything is worth fighting of course. Either fight to win, or fight to lose. We're the parents and we're allowed to set rules and boundaries. Rules is what makes a little person grow to be a good big person or a bad big person. We cut down the trees and build a path of life for them, it's up to them to stay on it and develop it, or wander off and go against the grain.
People that don't understand that have problems themselves. Those are the people that let their little toddlers play on bleachers unsupervised and when they fall through and are severely/tragically hurt, they don't blame themselves for not properly supervising them, they sue whomever owns the property and then they put a lovely addition onto their home. And they call themselves parents."
